I switched from Serato. Why is it that Serato analyzes the stems function per track in seconds, while Traktor Pro 4 analyzes it in 1.5 minutes per track? When analyzing, why is it not automatically in the list, why can't the stems option be selected, next to bpm, grid, auto cue, etc.? Why can't I select multiple existing songs at once and analyze them with the stems function? Why only one at a time? Could these problems be fixed with an update?

Serato uses the GPU while Traktor only uses the CPU :( Why did they do it? Probably limited ressources, like everything in Traktor in the last 5+ years.

Yeah, lots of stuff the be desired with the stem separation.

I can tolerate the fact that it's terribly slow. But why can't you select multiple files at once to analyze stems? I don't understand this

They wanted to start minimal and iterate on the feature. It's just that the traktor team is very very small and progress is slow. You can map a key analyze stem and put multiple songs in queue.

But yes, it's far from optimal.

You can map a keyboard shortcut or a button on a controller. To do so open settings in Traktor and go to Controller Manager. Select the device you want to map. Select Add In → Bowser → List → Generate Stems.

Click on Learn and push the desired button or shortcut on keyboard. It should appear next to the learn button. Push Learn again so that it isnt't red anymore.

Now you can use your shortcut to generate stems. If you want to do more you still have to do every single one itself. But if you have them in one playlist you can quickly go through the list. Start at top use your shortcut, cursor down, shortcut, cursor down, shortcut, … until you reach the end of your list.

The shortcut does the same as selecting the entry from the context menu. If Traktor is already analyzing a track it adds new ones to the queue if you select "Generate Stems". But for now you can only add one at a time. If you select more than one the shortcut will not work.
