Flushing background tasks (Freezing issue/Not saving track collection)

Using Traktor 4, I recently gridded/cued/organized about 120 tracks, only to have program freeze when I closed it. All my tracks are pathed to my Itunes library. Unfortunately, all too late, I found that the solution was to close Itunes before or when shutting down. If Itunes is closed, the program closes and saves the track collection. Just wanted to share this as I have not seen it listed as a solution for this problem. I will probably right click save my track collection regularly before closing just for good measure.

You can even map the "save collection" command.

This has occasionally happened over the years when shutting down Traktor (but never when saving the collection). It's happened probably a few dozen times over the years (flushing background tasks, hangs forever) and as a result of this occasional issue, i now always hit save prior to closing. You could even force-close traktor after saving (saving the time of basically saving twice). I never noticed that iTunes has anything to do with it since it happens so seldom and i often have iTunes running for some extraneous purpose (and they're all nested in the iTunes Music directory prob like you so they all play well together).

Interesting that anyone would do that. Saving takes like 3-4 minutes. Hitting a shortcut for this saves like 2 seconds. Does saving take other people less time? M1 here with 31k entries.
