Apologies if this is not the place to post a bug report, but I did not see a post type for bugs.

The details and screenshots are too long for a post IMHO, so there is a pdf attached with all of the details. The basic issue is that bank and prog changes for external gear does not appear to function properly depending on the order and/or the content of groups. Steps to reproduce and screenshots are in the pdf.

Hum… I just tested and apparently in terms of MIDI Maschine's Mute only works for note on/off, everything else (Program Changes, After-touch, CCs, etc…) ignores the muting… Quite odd.

Yes @D-One, that is what I found, and even if it does not properly mute (which it should), the prog change is being incorrectly sent to the midi channel of the muted group/sound! Odd indeed…..

I hope someone from the NI Dev team can weigh in here…

Did you mean "MIDI Port" instead of MIDI Channel?

Does this only happen when the Group is muted? meaning, muting it is the cause.

I'm asking because Maschine ignores MIDI Channels in some scenarios, like for example in CC MIDI Inputs, so this could be related.

From the 1st screenshot, you will see that a PC is being sent to Midi channel 10. That midi channel only belongs to the muted group. I have not tested whether muting or unmuting it changes that.

In the first scenario, the only bank/prog changes that should be sent are for midi channel 15. You will also note that the Bank Select (Coarse) message is missing in this first scenario. Instead, there is a prog change on channel 10 !

In the 2nd scenario, all 3 messages are correctly formulated and correctly sent to midi channel 15. The only change I made between the scenarios was to remove the muted group.

I cannot imagine that this is expected behavior.
