s8 channel a en c don't react

I have an s8 but channels a and c do not respond on the controller, I can see them on the screen but when I start them on the s8 they don't work, when I start them on the software they do work, the assignment table is also empty, all settings seem okay to me, used new cables ...

Can you provide some pictures/clips?

The mapping is supposed to be empty (all assignments are in qml code underneath) and the space is provided for users to overmap the controls.

Do the not-working buttons light up to tell us the LED's are responding at least?

So, all the LED's are working, but pressing a button does nothing on the left side?

Can you start the program 'controller editor' and see if you s8 appears there and if you can use the left side buttons as input (and the right side as well)?

i can choose the s8 in editor.how can i see if i can use the left side as input

if i look at the preferences the s8 settings are in grey , i don't think he have a good connection

So, the idea i have is to see if you can get the leftside controls to respond to anything at all.

Try to (over)map one of the buttons to any kind of command using the default mapping (empty) and adding an assignment, like play/pause, to one of the left-side buttons, or going into midi mode and adding an assignment to a new generic midi mapping.

If you have no experience at all with mapping commands, this would be a pretty laborious procedure to explain and to learn, using the Traktor software manual that has a chapter for mapping. In that case i recommend to contact support using the following page (links are on the page). You will need to login to your NI account for that.

i have done it in the control manager, i can assign the pads on the right site but not on the left

This really sounds like a hardware problem. Check the link i posted and ask for advice/assistance in how to best proceed. You may have to send it in for repairs. Since you will long since have passed any warranty (my guess) this may cost some money to repair.

ok , sad news but i think i've got the answer , thank you , i hope they can fix it but i can continue with two decks , any idee about time for reperation en price?

I have no clue about repairs. So far i haven't sent in any of my gear for repairs. When you find out, i'd be curious to know myself. :)
