Maschine won't load at all beyond splash screen

Hi, I have a problem and can't find any help.

My Maschine 2 DAW will not load at all beyond the boot-up splash screen.

All the instruments and apps load, but when it comes to the GUI to boot, literally nothing happens. I keep clicking to start the program and it will run through everything again and it won't load. It says I am on version 2.16.1. (RO) I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application. Rebooted the computer. I am on Windows 10. I got it working again for a second when I was reinstalling random things in Native Access, but now it won't work again. I am so confused. I don't know what I reinstalled to make it work for a hot-second, but now it won't load again. I have been working in this applications for years and made tons of songs. It just randomly died and I can't fix it. Help?

The only thing that happened before it stopped working is that DIscord updated. When I updated Discord, Maschine DAW will not load.

You're on quite an old version there - any reason you've not updated? Have you tried uninstalling Discord to see if that makes a difference? What audio devices and Maschine hardware are you using?

Is it scanning plugins on the splash screen? Maybe it's getting stuck on a particular plugin.

As it's not going past the splash screen, I'm curious as to what you mean by "all the instruments and apps load".

Good point, I'd not thought of that. I was thinking it was a crash.

I was still running Native Access 1, updated to Native Access 2 and there is a ton of updates. Gonna update and see if it works. Give me a few.

Unfortunately, the update didn't work. It gets to "Initializing GUI" then it just stops. Splash goes away and GUI doesn't load.

I am running a Maschine MK2, Komplete Komplete Keyboard and Komplete Audio 6 interface. I am now running version 2.18.4 on Windows 10. I removed discord and it still wont load.

If you unplug all the hardware what happens? Does Maschine still fail to start ?

Have you tried deleting Maschine plist?

I am actually trying to reinstall Windows 10. Will try all those steps soon. Give me a few.

Reinstalling windows is a step that should come eventually AFTER you tried to fix Maschine software.

But… since you say you are on windows, forget about plist.

Do you have a second screen connected? Sometimes with two screens, the splash appears on one but the app opens on the other…

So, I did some troubleshooting steps and got it to load. I tried some steps LostinFoundation posted. For some reason, I think my last project is somehow corrupted. I feel like Maschine was trying to open to the last project I was on, but for some reason, this one particular project wont load. I went to my project files

C:\Users\deeps\Documents\Native Instruments\Maschine 2\Projects

I loaded another, saved the project so the project now loads the last file and for some reason it works now. I cannot open these two latest projects that I worked on that are basically the same project saved twice. So weird. So now it works. again I think my last 2 projects are corrupted and was crashing the DAW. I am opening different projects from the path and they are opening and I can make music again. I can even load from the start icon, which I could do before.

That’s why I suggested plist (erroneously, because that is for Mac) and then the support article I linked.

Your case was very similar to the one we solved a couple years ago, where another user also had a corrupted project that was blocking Maschine to be loaded

Last projects not loading would of been my suggestion , can you remember what vst you used , it could be one of those causing it , you could move the plugins from the plugin folder , the project may then open , giving you the missing vst error ,
