Hey guys, Machine is acting funny. I hit play and it gets unresponsive. Playhead does not move. Can't play anything. It happens with maschine 3.3 and same issue with also maschine 2.18.4. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks in advance

I think the issue is that the sound device is being used by another application. You can check this in the sounds menu in MacOS settings, restarting your computer can also help.
Have you tried some good ol' fashioned sweet talk?
I think Daniel jay is on the right direction: The only time I’ve seen the program unresponsive like you describe, the wrong driver was selected (asio vs wasapi)
Hey Daniel jay, I think this solved my problem. I had Pro Tools open in the background. This never used to be an issue in my previous systems. Thank you.
It doesn’t depend on which system you are using, but which driver is selected.
Even in your new system, if you chose e.g. wasapi shared you should be able to use the same audio interface for multiple programs simultaneously (that is what the “shared” in the name indicates)
