I've been using my Mk2 S61 on my PC for multiple years with no issues and no hardware changes. It's been on Windows 11 for a while, and I've also kept Komplete Kontrol at 2.9.6 for years after the annoyance of what 3.0 did to all my templates.
A new issue popped up that I've never seen, and can't find anything about online. When turning on or plugging in my S61 keyboard and loading up a third party plugin within Komplete Kontrol, the Mod Wheel functionality "flickers" between 1-2% at a random spot on the range out of 100%. When I adjust the wheel, I can see it try to go down or up on the percentage, but then always jumps back to its original spot it started at. I can manually move the mod control to a new set point, but it still flickers and behaves the same.
Occasionally, the pitch wheel will act as a midi control. For example, in a Spitfire library, the pitch wheel will control expression, and the mod wheel controlling dynamics will do the flickering thing. I've had the same flicker happen when loading up Jaegar, or "The Free Orchestra" from ProjectSAM as an example. The keyboard functions perfectly as a MIDI keyboard when loading up instances outside of Komplete Kontrol (but loses the smart functionality the keyboard is intended for, obviously).
On a Native Instruments plugin, the same thing happens but on random controls depending on the plug-in, not controlled by the mod wheel. This can be the "Drive" knob on Evolve Mutations, or the "Release" slider on Symphony Essentials libraries.
As soon as I turn off the keyboard, the "flickering" stops. This happens on both Native Instrument and third party libraries.
Anyone else experience something like this? I've checked all MIDI connections, used Midi-OX to confirm consistent midi readings and reinstalled Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6. I ensured that Komplete Kontrol has all admin permissions. I tried using Kontrol 3.5 and it still happens there too.
Please help!
