My Spitfire Solo Violin works fine in Kontakt 7 standalone mode, but I get the "instrument not initialised" error when using Spitfire Solo Violin in my DAW (Samplitude). Native Instruments has a thread on this topic cited below this post.
From the thread, it is suggesting that Kontakt is not configured properly in my DAW, but that wouldn't make sense because all my 50+ other Kontakt libraries are working in Samplitude except for the Spitfire Solo Violin (and one other library: 8dio solo strings). I tried another experiment to see if it was isolated to the Samplitude application: I tried the Spitfire Solo Violin in Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 Server and also received the exact same initialisation error message. So we have at least two applications where this behavior is being exhibited. (Curiously, however, the error message does not appear in Vienna Ensemble Pro Standalone mode, only in Server mode!)
Curiously still, I tried loading Spitfire Solo Violin into Dorico Pro 5 and the Kontakt 7 instance worked fine there. So the mystery is why Spitfire Solo Violin and 8Dio Solo Strings work in standalone Kontakt 7 mode, Vienna Ensemble Pro Standalone, and Dorico but not in Samplitude or Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 Server mode.
I have gotten Spitfire Solo Violin and 8Dio solo strings to work in Samplitude previously, but alas no more. Neither library shows in need of "repair" in native access. I look forward to your feedback and have attached screenshots of the issue for Spitfire Solo Violin. (I don't get the initialization error with the 8Dio library, it just does not allow me to load any articulations in the same applications that the Spitfire library also does not work, and the 8dio library works in the same applications that the Spitfire library also works.)
Thanks in advance.
