Hell ther,
I’m on a Mac mini M4 Pro running macOS Sequoia, and everything is fully up to date. Maschine 3.2 has completely broken my workflow overnight…
On launch I now get the prompt “VST 2 migration to VST 3”, but no matter what I do it never resolves. I did not change anything manually, but suddenly Maschine 3.2 no longer sees most of my VST3 plugins – including Kontakt, Reaktor, and many Arturia instruments. Only NI FX like Choral/Dirt still appears for example. Crazy isn't it ?
I’ve tried everything:
- Full reinstall of Maschine 3.2 via Native Access
- Reinstall of Kontakt 8 (which is correctly located in
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Kontakt.vst3
) - Running Maschine under Rosetta
- Forcing a full plugin rescan
- Deleting the pluginDatabase and scanner cache
Nothing works. Kontakt and others are still invisible. The exact same plugins load perfectly in Maschine 2, Komplete Kontrol 2.x, Logic Pro, etc. So the problem is Maschine 3.2 itself – the new VST3 scanner seems to silently blacklist valid plugins for no clear reason.
This is completely unacceptable: a previously working and stable setup is now broken without warning. Maschine 3 was supposed to be the future, but it’s currently unusable for serious production.
Please:
- Provide a transparent log of which plugins failed or were blacklisted during scan.
- Release a patch to fix the VST3 scanner so it no longer excludes valid plugins.
Until then, I’m reverting to Maschine 2. It’s the only version I can trust right now.
Best, M
