Komplete Audio 6 drivers

I bought one of these USB units and first installed it using the SPDIF output line. It worked but the overall volume level was weak. And it only worked using the Steinberg ASIO driver. Even the ASIOALL2 driver didn't work. Nor did the Komplete Audio Driver listed in Kontakt 8 work. Then I downloaded another driver from NI legacy support for the Komplete Audio 6 windows 10 file. Now I lost the option of using the SPDIF output. The only audio option shows Speakers Komplete Audio 6. Same volume level problem persists. I'm running the output level at 100%. I'm running it all to a Pioneer Elite Receiver that would blow my face off running any other audio software app on the PC. I'm stumped. Any ideas out there?

Hello,

so with the native asio driver you don't see out 1/2;3/4 and 5/6 (spdif)? I would use the latest driver, uninstall all drivers disconnect the device, then reinstall the latest and connect it back again. Normally there is no need to use asio4all or the steinberg asio driver, those are pseudo asio drivers using windows audio but in some cases of course can be useful. I also guess you have the MK2 interface?

I removed the Komplete Audio 6 through Device Manager and reinstalled the driver from NI. That got my SPDIF output back and also the MIDI channel. However, it didn't have any effect on my volume level issue. When running an mp3 audio file through Windows Media Player my top volume level rattles the walls but switching to Kontakt7 or Kontakt8 my volume drops by almost 75 percent while using ASIO4ALL and Steinberg ASIO drivers (the only options that produce any sound at all). Also, what MK2 file are you referring to and what has it to do with Komplete Audio 6?

Sorry for asking these question , but just to get it out of the way , this low volume issue with Kontakt , you are not just auditioning presets in Kontakt main view and not pulling the volume slider in lower left corner all to the right ? (this happen for some from time to time)

And of course also check Windows Volume Mixer (and other Windows settings if any is relevant)

Otherwise then you could try looking into using the Voicemeeter Bananaor or Potato (eventually combined wit the Steinberg driver). You can find the Voicemeetersite here. (It's always a good idea to take a backup of Windows prior to tinkering with settings , or at very least a manually made restore point)

If interested in their other stuff then you can also visit the VB-Audio site since they also have 'virtual audio cables' including something called VB-Audio ASIO Bridge which is found at the lower part of the cable page. They also have something called 'Matrix' (says Universal Audio Router) and 'Coconut' (says it's the Ultimate audio router).
