tuning sounds to a scale
There are lots of reaktor instruments that use sliders to change the pitch of a note or a phrase. But these are just up or down tool, and they don’t tell me the name of that pitch. Nor do they raise or lower the pitch by correct scalar increments. Is there a reaktor instrument that will let me load a .wav file phrase, for example a bird call, and accurately tell me its current pitch? Beyond that, what I am really looking for is an instrument that will let me accurately modify the tuning to any other note on the same scale. So at the end I will have enough notes to build a tuned chord. Or better yet, 8 or 12 .wav files that comprise an entire 8 or 12 note scale.

You need a tuner to tell indicate the pitch. The semitone factor is 2 raised to the exponent of the reciprocal of 1/12. It's 1.059463102. Any pitch multiplied or divided by that number will give the next semitone up or down respectively. If you change 12 to 8 in the formula, you'll get an 8 note scale.

Is there a reaktor ensemble that will do what I ask?
