Expression Pedal Issues with Kontrol MK3

Greets:
Having gotten the sustain pedal to work with my S88 MK3 keyboard, I wanted to try out an expression pedal for the first time.

I bought a Nektar NX-P expression pedal and plugged the TRS plug into the Expression port on the rear. Settings are: Continuous, Ivert if off, Ring, and MIDI CC 11. Testing with it, there was not response.

I tried switching polarity, did the invert to on, other things, nothing. I pulled up MIDI Monitor to check for detection, still nothing.

But…I feel I"m close. When I switched the pedal setting on the keyboard from Continuous to Switch, suddenly MIDI Monitor responded with MIDI messages. Back to Continuous, and poof….no response

I'm not sure where to go from here, so hope fosome guidance. Thank you.

    Hello,

Turn the pot on the pedal totally anticlockwise. The switch under the pedal set to 2 and on the keyboard set swap to ring. I own the exact same pedal and this works at least for me. After all that of course you calibrate it.

@Uwe303 You da man! I just did those few things, and not sure I did the calibration right initially. But…it works! MIDI Monitor is reading data when I'm working the pedal.

I really appreciate the help. I've never used an expression pedal before, so now I'll soon find out what it's all about.

@Uwe303 Took a little bit of trial-and-error to sort out the mecahnics of controlling parameters on a plug in with it, but it's worked out nicely after some testing. Indeed, should be fun and very convenient. Thanks again!
