Low headphone output on S4 Mk3

HELP - Ever since upgrading to the S4mk3 from a S8, it's always seemed to have a much lower output for the headphones.
The controller is 1 year old, and was brought new.
Currently Ive got a pair of Technics EAH-DJ1200, but it’s the same with HD25’s and Pioneer HDJ-X10.
So Im thinking it got to be settings or something. Im keen to hear how everyone else is setting theirs up.
Ive attached two screenshots of the settings.
On the controller, the gains for each channel are set so they just reach the first red clip on the meters, which happens to be at about 11 o'clock.
The master is also set to just touch the red, which happens to be at the 3 o'clock position.
But then when im out gigging, Im having to set the the headphone knob to maximum. (before anyone says so, when you use the external controller, the headphone output on the software is disabled. Its only enabled when not using a controller.)
Any help would be much appreciated!!
