Cue point drift

when I touch the jog wheel to stop the track and hold that point, the cue point keeps sliding back. This is happening in JOG and TT mode. Also, the platter has randomly been throwing itself forward and back in both modes, tt mode the platter whips forwards and back, and jog mode the song whips forwards and back, along with the indicator light that goes around the jog wheel. Is this product a dud or is it up to professional standards? I’m running the latest version of traktor.

The digital counters of movement (backwards and forwards) are uneven. Even zero movement isn't exactly zero (talking S4 here). If you look at the code for the jogwheels (in particular the GridAdjust section), you can see that the EncoderAdapter has a safety margin (+/-value) where no adjustment takes place. Only above this value is the gridmarker moved (forward or backward). I experimented with this value. Setting it to a lower value (or zero) has the result that NOT moving the platter at all makes the gridmarker move in one direction on it's own.
Ergo: 100% precision is probably too expensive to achieve, so production probably used a noticable margin of error. I don't have any other explanation for this.

Sticker drift is an issue with the 'thing'. But i wouldn't call it junk. For all other purposes it is pretty awesome.
