track pad not able to edit

in Battery 4

weird experience today…. laying down a simple perk part in Battery 4 and studio one 7 on my MacBook Pro intel 2019 Sonoma. I have 3 or 4 hand drums going and decided to pan then across the speakers…. left and right. simple stuff. I normally use the track pad for this but today my laptop's track pad wasn't able to move any edit parameters… nothing! pan, volume, reverb etc. I finally had to assign knobs on my keyboard to make my parameter edits.

    just a follow up…. in Battery stand alone I have the same problem.
