Why does Kontakt reset dynamics value whenever I close and reopen session in Logic Pro?
I bought Kontakt 8 yesterday and I ran into this problem. Whatever I set to be the dynamics value on an instrument, it will be back to minimum value when I restart the session. At first I thought this was a problem with a freebie orchestra instrument I was using, or something written to a midi event, but I tested and it also happens on factory library instruments and with a new project file with no midi whatsoever, nothing recorded etc. I haven't come up with a solution by Googling this issue.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? The dynamics value seems to be important for some orchestra instruments and I have to basically crank it up to get the sound and intensity I want. I have to find a way to make Kontakt save the value I set for the dynamics slider.

Not sure what the dynamics value is, but I tried with velocity settings in a standard Instrument (Alicia's Keys) and it worked fine (Logic Pro 11.2). What factory library did you try, I am not aware of a dynamic setting in any Kontakt instrument but there are so many ;-)
Did you try in another DAW? Logic appears to be quite buggy to me. I have a similar problem with Arturia Analog Lab. Sometimes it loses the whole sound patch that I was using and resets to the default sound when I reload the Logic project.

We didn't get this kind of reports. Could be permission issues, do Kontakt and Logic both have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
If that doesn't help, can you recreate a small project, as well as a video so wer can try and reproduce the issue?

Auriel, I have exactly the same problem and I use Cubase. Let me know if you've discovered anything.
On some projects I have fifteen of these instruments open and every time the settings have to be reset.
Incredibly frustrating, and forgetting to do it can make a poor result.
It's specifically Kontakt Factory Library 2 that this happens on for anyone not sure what we're talking about. Most orchestral or world instruments have a 'dynamics' setting which significantly alters the tone and attack of the sound. If it slips, it's useless.

I know nothing about these commercial DAWs. But - silly question - obviously you're saving the project after making these settings?

I'm having the same problem using The Gentleman from the Complete 15 Standard collection with Kontakt 8 in Logic Pro 11.2. I have found if I save a snapshot and use it instead of letting the instrument and its setting (e.g. dynamics) be saved by Logic (as NI says should happen), my changes (such as dynamics) will remain locked. If I don't save and use a snapshot, I experience the change of settings each time I restart the session that you have reported. This doesn't happen when I use the snapshot!
