no Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol
I just upgraded from komplete kontrol 14 to 15, and nothing seems to work. I can get Kontakt in the standalone KK, but not inside my DAW. also, I went into a session and the tracks where I used Komplete Kontrol, now nothing comes up. Please help, I really hope I didn’t lose all my instrument tracks.

I just updated from KK 14, to 15, and when I went back and opened up a protools session on mac, put KK on a track and loaded up Kontackt within, KK, “edit view” is now greyed out…also on my previous sessions, the tracks that I used KK for do not come up. I cannot find anywhere online a tutorial so hopefully I can find the solution here on this thread. Thank you in advance!

so you updated from komplete 14 to 15, not komplete kontrol, you should have had the latest kk version with komplete 14. I guess the problem could be that your older projects used kontakt 7 inside of komplete kontrol and now it tries to use kontakt 8. Please open komplete kontrol, go to "edit - prefs - plugins" and deselect "always use latest version …….." then try again.

I think that people are going to want a lot more and more exact information.
Such as what is your computer type , what is your exact OS version ? , What is your DAW and version ? . And also for reference what exactly is your keyboard model ? A-Series ? S-Series ? MK 1 ? 2 ? 3 ?
Else then more things springs to mind , did you use Komplete Kontrol app 2.x.x ? and then update to KK app 3.x.x ? , Did you uninstall old Kontakt 7 ? and then install Kontakt 8 ? if so that could give you problems with DAW projects , especially if your DAW does not support auto-migration between Kontakt versions.
Also , if you have a Mac computer then after any updating/upgrading it's a good idea to double check the : ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

@Gator Nate Did you upgrade Komplete Kontrol from 2.x to 3.x? If you did you may have hit the problem where you had VST2 versions of the plugins in your projects, but that would have been removed when you updated.

*and just for reference… I’m using Mac w/ M1 Max, Sequoia 15.5, ProTools (latest edition) i’m not sure about what keyboard I have, how would I find that out?

If you look at this page : Komplete Kontrol Keyboard Troubleshooting Guide then you can see the physical difference between the Mk1 and the Mk2 (But I will also put a picture below here) . Anyway , don't worry maybe no need for that info , my only reason for asking were to make sure that you had not updated Komplete Kontrol beyond what could be used by your keyboard..

The S-Series Mk2 should work with both Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 as well as the latest Komplete Kontrol app version 3.5.0 .

Ok, so my problem is: inside KK, When I click on instruments> it only goves me >”internal” then from there, my only options are ”audio” and “sampler” it doesn’t show any of my instruments that it used to show. It also doesn’t give me the option to use kontakt (in KK)
*any help would be greatly appreciated, as I’m kind of freaking out, hoping I didn’t lose all my in progress works. Thank you thank you!

You should be able to insert screenshots directly when posting here even without saving as a picture first. Just remember to add some text first to fill the minimum nine characters.

on some of the tracks, the sound won’t play, I can see the instrument, but it says demo in red for some reason.

Then there is an issue with the license, please check in native access and check that article:
With the greyed out "edit view" I will have a look and report back of I find something. Normally it's greyed out if it's already activated.
