Can the acoustic drums be used as separate drums, not only loops

Hi! I'm a newcomer to Kontakt 8 and NI, I'm making my way around the user interface/menu's and have downloaded some of the free software.

I'm playing with the acoustic drums, and they have looped patterns, though I'm wondering if they play separate, with each assigned a midi map key.

Also, whilst I recall, I altered the tempo, however it shifted to the original tempo, within the Kontakt 8 window. I tried the 'sync' dial, to sync to the track I have in my DAW though it didn't sync. What order am I meant to do this in for it to match up?

Try switching to Single in the Play section , page 42 in the manual :

But you could edit the response to the single key input to be a loop of the same drum as done below here. Also check page 36 in the Manual (LEAP in general) and page 43 no. 4 on picture for the Edit shown below here .

For the Sync then try checking page 44 to 57 and page 114 in the manual.

You are very welcome. I just added a comment specifying where the edit were shown in the manual. Also please notice that the Sync information referred to is general and might require you to do further digging to find out how to use with your DAW. Both I am not a DAW expert and also then we neither know what is your DAW and the specific example of what you are trying to do.
