BUG: Session Strings 2 loaded in KK freezing Reaper 7.39

What: Komplete Kontrol 3.5.0 loading Session Strings 2 library freezes Reaper 7.39 under certain circumstances.

My specs: Windows 11 64 bit, Intel i7, 16GB RAM

How to replicate bug:

  1. Load Komplete Kontrol on a track;
  2. Load Session Strings 2;
  3. Arm track for recording, in Session Strings select "Smart Voice Splits";
  4. Unarm the track;
  5. Reaper freezes, Session Strings can still be played though.

How to circumvent the issue: after using smart voice splits select a different instrument, simply deactivating it and unarming the track will still freeze (obviously not ideal behaviour).

Notes:

  • Using the same library in Kontakt instead gives no problem
  • If you have two tracks and arm the second track while Session Strings is armed with Smart voice splits, it still freezes.
