Symlink Approach for Komplete Kontrol

Hi,

In an attempt to streamline my setup, I tried symlinking the user content directory to an alternate location for Komplete Kontrol to scan. Unfortunately, that approach didn’t yield the expected results—Komplete Kontrol doesn't seem to recognize the symlinked path.

Is there an obvious limitation or known issue that would prevent this from working? A straightforward copy-paste does work, but I’d prefer to avoid redundancy if possible.

Any insights or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Depends how you create symlinks. OR maybe it is simply not supported.

Not sure why you would need to symlink a content location instead of just placing the actual directory path into the Prefs area in NA but I am sure you have your reasons. Hope you can share them

Thomba is attempting this . (trying to inject user folder into main folder as I understand it)

    Ref. question :

In Komplete Kontrol by Native Instruments, there are two separate sections: one for NKS instruments and another for user-defined templates. While switching between these two categories isn't a major inconvenience, it can still be somewhat cumbersome during the creative process.

Is there a way to store or organize user content differently so that everything appears under a single overarching category? This would streamline navigation and make the workflow more efficient.

Can you not simply open Preferences > Library > User Library and then just add the path instead of symlinking it? You can add multiple paths to the user library if you need to, even mapped drives.
