Midi Automation Issue

I recorded on Group 1/midi ch. 1 a filter cutoff automation with external midi controller knob. Then I recorded a filter cutoff automation on Group 2 midi ch. 2 with same knob. There shouldnt be any issue - separate midi channels/seprate synths/on seperate groups/seperate patterns. BUT, when I play the patterns together, I noticed glitching in the automation that disappears when I mute the pattern on group 2/midi ch. 2.

What could be the problem? The two groups have all the correct separate midi inputs/outputs. I disconnected the midi controller as well - that had nothing to do with it. I tried several times, and each time I was able to replicate the problem. Thx

    IIRC, Maschine always treats MIDI controller events as if they had set their Channel to Omni. Which means you cannot use the same controller events on different channels. Additionally, Maschine does not „arm“ Groups/Patterns for MIDI recording, instead it records into the currently selected Pattern. And the selection focus may change due to incoming MIDI events.

    Wow. yet another basic functionality that Maschine doesnt have. Surprise! Thankfully, I only have one VST that doesnt allow for macro controls of parameters so shouldnt be much of an issue.
