S61

Hi I'm looking at buying the S61. Can anyone confirm if the Kontrol S61 is an MK3 version by default? I've noticed that on the hardware page it advertises standalone as just an S61 while the the S61 that bundles with Komplete 15 Standard/Ultimate advertises with the MK3.

I've already purchased a boatload of NI software and at this point I don't need Komplete 15

Any new S61 - in box - direct from NI - will most certainly be a MKIII.

I suppose it is theoretically possible to discover an unopened "new old stock" MKII out there on a dusty shelf in some far flung music shop - but that would be exceedingly rare.

I believe that Mark W. is referring to the below , and yes the presently sold S-Series keyboards sold on the N.I. site is MK3 , but you can also recognize it by the big unified screen (The MK2 had two screens next to each other.)
