Feature Request: Touch Strip relative mode (CS-80 style) on S-series MK3

In the current S-series firmware, wherever you touch the touchstrip it sends Midi CC or Pitch bend data that directly corresponds to the location you touched on the strip. That is, if you touch it on the far right you get a value of 127. The control is a "direct" mapping of position input to data output.

I would like to propose the implementation of an alternate "relative" touch strip mode that behaves like the Yamaha CS-80. That is to say, whenever you touch the strip (from an "untouched" state), the first value returned is always 63 (halfway - no pitch bend). If you touch it on the far right you get a value of 63. The data output would be more of a "relative" mapping of distance from first position touched.

This would allow you to perform the kind of divebombs that the CS-80 was known for, using the full length of the touch strip for more precise control.

With the current implementation you have to very carefully target the exact center of the touch strip to perform this kind of expression, which is difficult to do.

Given that the MK3 controllers have both polyphonic aftertouch and a touch strip, it seems like this would be a match made in heaven for the CS-80 virtual instruments, as the original hardware supported both of these features well.

Thanks for listening.
