Hi

Could someone please remind me how to assign samples to choke groups in the Maschine software?

To be fair, if you google Maschine manual, no it doesn't, the links in Google have no reference to using choke groups other than saying "Look at section Using Choke Groups"
The user needs to know that they actually need to go to the Maschine page and then to downloads, then use the online manual, for some reason this is not the same as the downloadable manual.
Even then, that is just for Maschine software and MK3, the Using Choke Groups is not actually in the Maschine Plus manual either.

    Strange stuff.

Still would be much easier to just say "Tap on the little set of pads above the sound list"

@flexi "The user needs to know"

IMO the user needs to find out for themselves where the manuals are, and that info on using the software/hardware can be found within. It should be pretty obvious.

Also, before I replied, I did actually check in my (software) manual to 100% confirm it was there.

FYI the Maschine Plus manual does mention choke groups (three times) and it tells you where to get further info - again I just checked to confirm.

It may be (in your opinion) "much easier" to just give them the answer, but:

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. This proverb emphasizes the importance of providing empowering knowledge and skills rather than just temporary assistance.

First hit on Google for Maschine Plus Manual

    MASCHINE+ Manual

Not one mention of section "Using Choke Groups" but of course now you have moved the goal posts, OK, it mentions tells you to go and read about Choke Groups in the Maschine Manual, which goes back to my original point again, first hit for Maschine Manual just says "Look at section Using Choke Groups" which of course doesn't exist in this manual, it only exists in the online manual (Not a hit on Google)

Be a know it all that doesn't help others, and you are just a know it all, actually help somebody with useful information and they go and make some music, but hey, carry on, by the time you have finished justifying being a know it all, you will have used as many lines of text as the actual manual ;)

No I'm not moving goalposts. I'm stating facts. That's it.

The Maschine software manual does cover using choke groups (which was the original question).

YOU were the one that mentioned the Plus, so I checked and confirmed it's also mentioned in that manual. End of.

This is not "knowing it all". It's just the facts.

No facts actually have to be the truth.

I will also add that, if you also need it, in the hardware you can do it pushing the PAD MODE button and using the first knob.

Sorry for not providing you empowering knowledge and skills but just trying to help you
