Has anyone seen this problem with Kontakt?

Kontakt 7 is doing something weird in the background and the mouse cursor is constantly flickering making the use of the app nearly impossible to work with. I have a video showing it.

I believe I have seen this once before.

Ended up being the screen resolution on the host machine if I recall correctly.

So I guess I have to play around if the available option for my screen to get it fixed?

Would be helpful to know what your current screen resolution currently is.

Also - what OS are you using. What DAW?

And does this only happen in standalone or plugin mode?

It is not a screen flicker. It is the mouse cursor is going from arrow to hourglass and back and forth rapidly, like something is running on the background all the time. IT also takes longer than usual to load Kontakt on the computer. On my laptop is load much quicker than my desktop.

Well - without a full readout of Task Manager and knowing what is going on in the background (maybe something like Defender scanning everything all the time) or if it's a laptop - some vendor utility running 24x7 - it is hard to troubleshoot this.

You would need to provide a bunch of screencaps and/or a vid to show us what is going on.

If there's more efficiency on your laptop than on your PC it's likely your wireless is configured differently on the two computers, or there's some background task on the PC such as Defender on your PC that may interfering with processing.

The only way you can really determine this is to examine and compare the internal workings through the Task Manager on both computers when performing similar functions. It's not unusual nowadays that the laptops are coming with more updated internal WiFi connections than your PC. I had to disable my internal PC WiFi card and go to the same external WiFi USB plugin on both computers to get them to operate comparably when I upgraded my household WiFi to the current WiFi standard.

Of course examining the processing of the various system areas through the Task Manager performance tab when doing similar tasks will tell you more about where the comparable inefficiency are in CPU, memory, disk access, or WiFi processing to help identify the bottleneck on the PC. It could just as easily be slower disk access on the PC than on the laptop for instance.

Unfortunately, the Desktop is the more powerful and it is wired not on wifi, but I will check the task manager for any activity that might be happening at the same time. Thanks
