Subscription issue?!

I was previously on the $50 subscription and cancelled it back in 2024. I wanted to reactivate it on a lesser plan but it wouldnt let me without first reactivating it on the original plan?! is there a way to get my money back and activate the cheaper plan without waiting a month and wasting money?!
