Power supply bought thru NI not compatible???

So I recently purchased a Kontrol keyboard, it came with a USB-C adapter, no power supply. It would be assumed that the USB-C adapter would power the keyboard from the computer, however my laptop doesnot have these ports just USB-A. I have an adapter that is USB-C to USB-A, just as NI website states "that you need in addition to a NI 40w power supply,"

which I just purchased. However the power supply that I bought on this website is not compatible with the keyboard????? The keyboard only has two USB-C outputs for the power source, while the NI power supply has a standard round outlet, similar to power tools. There is no place on the keyboard itself to plug in any power source??? ( Believe me I triple checked) Now what??

In Specification only the need for a power supply is mentioned when used with a USB-A computer. No word about that specific NI power supply. With Kontrol S-series Mk3 you need a USB-C power supply. As far as I know NI doesn‘t offer one but you can use generic ones.

If you look on the order page of NI power supply Mk3 keyboards aren‘t listed as compatible.

that power supply is for the kk mk 1+2 not mk3, so return that one

You need a usbc adapter like one for an iPad or iPhone ( usbc model) and cable
