Komplete Kontrol User Saved Sub Banks

Hi,

Apparently since V3 of komplete kontrol, the sub banks in the user saved area are not displaying? Please can we have this feature / is it going to be rolled out soon?

It is not an issue in Maschine or in KK V2, only KK V3

Kind regards,

Martyn

    Hi,

Eventually they will have to bring it back, since everyone is asking for it.

But when and in which update, we don't know….

It definitely needs to be more of a priority. One of the main functions of Komplete Kontrol is to be a sound librarian but this bug undermines that capability by making it harder for people to search and organise their sounds.

Assuming you are one of the users who has contacted me about this. Yes this is something that NI need to fix since lets state again, this was an issue from day 1 and we are now well into the second year of v3 release and still this issue is even to be confirmed for attention. Some of us have lost out on hope tho.

Direct question to native instruments - could we have some response to this?

I still hope this gets fixed, but considering the lack of app focus, or longstanding bugs/requests being addressed, I don't have lots of faith it'll happen.

That's why I will keep B!tching constantly on the forums about it…

Half the problem is that this forum is now basically flooded with support requests or issues, besides one or two of our collaborative threads. If I don't visit as often, why would anyone NI project leads?

They're less likely to even read this thread, or direct question.

Helps new users see the issues I guess, which in turn affects people's decision to buy and that ultimately causes effects down the chain. If the same issue is constantly posted on the front page of the forum that gets more attention.

I'm about to probe further into the actual issue here because it doesn't affect all libraries and I have a hunch it can be fixed, either sloppy programming or something more nefarious to make libraries less functional… Cannot understand otherwise why it wouldn't be addressed

That’s the thing, it doesn’t affect Reaktor libraries for example but banks/sub banks are defined in the ensemble itself, not in KK. It seems to be mainly affecting user created sub banks - and we all know that “officially” NI has never even supported users creating their own banknames let alone sub banks so seeing this as a sneaky way to clamp down on that is understandable.

However we do also know that some NI reps have stated it was not intentional and is something they plan to fix (although clearly not seen as a priority unfortunately). We also do know, because of the working sub banks for some libraries, that the underlying capability to display both banks and sub banks is there in the keyboards so that was not removed, which means it should be fixable if and when NI develop the will to do it.

Does this mean we're going to get deeper edit access @Simon_NI ?
