Phantom at 4K4

Sure, there’s definitely some buzz around the Z1 MK2 — but not the kind we were hoping for! I’m hearing what sounds like one, or rather several ghosts singing in harmony around 2 kHz and all its harmonics. It happens whether I go through my USB hub or connect it directly — it's a bit quieter when plugged directly, but still present in the background.
I must say, I’ve never heard a buzz of this quality before — it’s both innovative and kind of funny — though I doubt club sound engineers will be laughing.
For the record, I never had this issue with the MK1.
I've attached a recording and a visual representation of the noise.
I’ve got a few questions:
- Could this be a defect specific to my unit?
- Is it a known issue with the MK2?
- Is there any chance for a firmware fix or update?
Honestly, as much as I love the new improvements on the MK2, it’s going to be hard to keep it with that background noise. It’s breaking my heart!
