You need at least MacOS 13 (Ventura). If you don't have that then you won't be able to use Maschine 3 unfortunately.

IMO there's really no reason to feel left out, as Maschine 3 at this early stage is barely any different to Maschine 2 software.

I would also recommend putting details in your user profile of exactly which MacOS you're running, because at the moment it just says "Mac book"…

macOS backwards compatibility has been really disappointing in recent years for NI products. Especially compared to other companies such as Arturia, Ableton and Renoise. Even more remarkable looking at the incredibly slow update pace at NI (just look at the resolution of Maschine 3 on any HiDPI display such as any Mac from more than 10 years ago 🙃 ).

Don't blame NI - blame Apple.

As soon as they deem an OS to be "unsupported" - that means unsupported for everyone. (including all software vendors)

Why would any plugin vendor want to entertain any issues with an OS that they cannot ask Apple about?

Like I mentioned, other companies take a different approach, supporting (much) earlier macOS versions with their most recent software versions. So this has nothing to do with Apple's OS support.

Understood. Just not in this case.

Any company that chooses to support a retired OS - is going to have major challenges if they need support - and they all do at one point or another.
