crashed validation/failed validation on NI plugins after update

I’ve recently updated my system from 10.15.7 Catalina to Seqouia 15.3.2. I’m on an Intel machine. However I can't seem to get my NI products working in Logic:
- When opening Logic, of course the audio-units had to be scanned again, however the Auvaltool quit unexpectedly during scan (a couple of times)
- In the Plug-in Manager, NI plugins are also shown as ‘crashed validation’ including Kontakt 7 & 8. Kontakt (6) is shown as ‘couldn’t be opened’ I use Kontakt on a daily basis for work so that's a bit of a problem.
- it's worth noticing all other plugins from other developers seem to work fine (Omnisphere Serum Sine Soundpaint etc etc)
WHAT I TRIED SO FAR:
- I’ve tried installing the latest version of Logic, 11.1.2
- I’ve tried updating & re-installing the plugins with the latest version of Native Access (the effects, Kontakt, etc), without success
- opening Kontakt standalone did work
- The ‘reset & rescan selection’ didn’t work on any of the NI plugins. When I tried I got the popup ‘auvatool quit unexpectedly’ popups again.
The validation report on for example just Kontakt 8 shows as follows (I could provide the reports on all plugins if that helps):
validating Audio Unit Kontakt 8 by Native Instruments:

- Maybe most importantly, I’ve tried following the instructions using this article:
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014454117-My-Native-Instruments-Plug-in-Fails-Validation-in-Logic-Pro
So that means I’ve granted Full Disk Access to Logic, Native Access, Kontakt, etc, as well as deleting the files from the locations described in step 4.
I gave this 2 tries, but this doesn’t work either; after the instruction of the re-start I opened logic once again, during scanning of the plugins, I got a the same couple (4) popups that the auvaltool quit unexpectedly. The same result as before as well in the plug-in manager.I’ve made sure to save the rapports on this with the details on what happened, which I can put in a mail if that helps.
Ofcourse, as I deleted the files from step 4, opening Kontakt in standalone right now doesn’t work either but it would after a re-install (which is what I did the 1st time I tried following the step 4).
Any help would be very much appreciated as I need at least Kontakt to work properly for my daily job as a composer.
Many thanks,
Gijs

Have you tried the : How to Reset Logic Pro (Trash Preferences) (I am not sure if that was what was covered in "described in step 4." , if so then please excuse me)

@Jeremy_NI , could you please take a look at this ?

Hi PoorFellow, it wasn't covered in the article and step 4 but I've tried but no luck unfortunately!

@Gijs van Amelsvoort Please try the following: My Native Instruments Plug-in Fails Validation in Logic Pro
Make sure to give full disk access to your NI applications and Logic: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

Unfortunately this didn't help. I've also tried downgrading to Ventura and following all the steps in My Native Instruments Plug-in Fails Validation in Logic Pro again.
So far to no luck… what can I try next??

P.S. so this means Kontakt 8 got the 'couldn't be opened' at the Plug-in Manager, and the Kontakt 7 Player got the 'crashed validation' and a 'auvaltool quit unexpectedly' popup.
So same result as before when doing the reset-scan:

So, the standalone applications crash, all your plugins AU validation fails. Is there anything special in your installation paths? What paths have you chosen in Native Access?
Have you used Time Machine or other similar software?
Regarding your Kontakt crashing, have you tried the following? Kontakt Crashes
Can you open Kontakt in standalone after these steps?

Hi Jeremy, thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it.
So yes I used Time machine and used Migration Assistant and basically copied everything except the Apps folder over to the freshly installed OS.
And you are right, the standalone doesn't seem to open as well.
So regarding the file paths; I haven't touched the Preferences of Native Access:
Download Location is /users/gijs/Downloads
Application Location is /Applications/Native Instruments
content Location is /Users/Shared
So that means the filepath for - for example - Kontakt 8 is /Applications/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8
I've followed all the steps from the 'Kontakt Crashes' page, meaning going from solution 1 to 3 without any success (solution 4 required Kontakt actually to be opened). If I tried to open Kontakt 8 as well as Kontakt 7 Player the icon in the dock was jumping a few times and then,.. nothing.
Many thanks,
Gijs

p.s. would it help to install Ventura again freshly on a defragment/correctly emptied & structured OS drive and exclude more files/settings in the Migration Assistant?
Is there anything that could make a difference?

Ok I see, then that's most probably the issue here, using migration makes a mess with all the NI files and their permissions. You can read all about it here: My Native Instruments Product does not work after using Migration Assistant / Time Machine / Carbon Copy Cloner (Mac OS)
So, once you updated your operating system, you would need to reinstall all NI applications from scratch, that means the Application and Effects secrions in Native Access:
You might have to relocate the content (Kontakt libraries, etc…), not sure, but it's a few clicks anyway, you can now relocate all products in one go:
