Wish to know if Session Horns Pro overwrites Session Horns or if I will have two instruments if I buy it.
Also, can I save presets in Session Horns and re-open them in Session Horns Pro ?

Just a quick clarify on this.
These are two separate products. Sessions Horns cannot (and will not) “become” Session Horns Pro if the Pro product is purchased or installed. They can be installed separately and can run in parallel.
There will be no impact to existing tracks that contain Session Horns (basic)

I'm asking as I have 3TB of SSD storage on my laptop-based DAW and it's almost full; ergo, I would like to delete Session Horns should I choose to 'upgrade'?

High level - stands to reason that any MIDI data you saved in tracks using SH (Basic) would "play" in SH Pro - but - there are no guarantees - the assignments, articulations and actual instruments used - would be the same in the Pro product vs the Basic product.

I popped this question into Gemini - and I would not do that:

Your DAW does not recognize sample libraries by their marketing names; it recognizes them by their unique database IDs. Because Session Horns Standard and Session Horns Pro are two completely separate pieces of software, your DAW will not automatically swap one for the other.
Your existing settings
Your DAW session stores the exact state of Session Horns Standard inside that specific project file (e.g., mixer levels, your velocity curves, your specific phrases). If you delete the Standard library, all of that custom data is permanently unlinked from the project.
Playback
Even if you manually load Session Horns Pro onto those empty tracks to fix these prior errors, you will not get the same playback results. The Pro version relies on a completely different, 30 GB sample pool recorded in a different room. The default volume levels, acoustic tail, and internal effects modules are entirely different. Your horns will immediately sound different in the mix.
In short - sounds like a heap of trouble if you make a move like that.
