TRAKTOR PRO 4 version 4.11.23 on Mac Intel Sequoia 15.3.2

My Traktor Pro 4 software has stopped working randomly on my Mac. I’ve been using it even with the Sequoia updates. I can open Traktor, but after a delay, it won’t work. When I try to do a Check Consistency, it starts and then freezes.

I had Apple do a screen share to check everything and confirm that my MacBook (2019, 32GB RAM, 2667 MHz, 2

TB storage) is fine. Everything else works perfectly—I can even open Rekordbox without issues.

I have already checked that my playlists are not the problem; nothing is in the cloud, and all files are in the correct folders for Traktor to sync. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Traktor several times, but nothing has fixed the issue.

At this point, I have no idea how to fix it. Since Rekordbox is working fine, I’m seriously considering switching to Pioneer AZ with the 4-deck option and WiFi. I’m so fed up with this, and I have a gig this Thursday, so I need a fix urgently.

As usual, Native Instruments has not responded. If anyone can help explain why Traktor has randomly stopped working properly, please let me know!

You can try deleting backups of the program so that Traktor detects that it is the first time you start it. This will help the program eliminate possible errors.

Thanks for your message. I think you're right, although Traktor started working again shortly after I posted, and I realised it might have been due to having Traktor Pro 3 still installed on my desktop, even though I wasn’t using it.

It took me a day or two of troubleshooting, including reinstalling the software and getting remote screen share support from Apple. I have to say, Apple was incredibly helpful, even though Traktor is a third-party app. They made sure it wasn’t a macOS issue or something related to the latest system update. Miraculously, on the second day, Native Instruments released a new update for Traktor Pro 4 that seemed to fix the bug, so in my estimation, the problem clearly lay with Traktor itself. Unfortunately, their customer service has been virtually nonexistent. That’s a huge red flag when you're relying on a product professionally.

However, since the update, I added a new playlist and noticed it’s now gone, which is frustrating and adds to the lack of confidence in the platform's stability.

Since then, I’ve invested in the XDJ-XZ Alpha and started transitioning into the club-standard Pioneer setup. It’s an amazing piece of hardware. Their customer support has been excellent, I had a minor issue with a cloud subscription, and they responded immediately. Also, there’s a recent video on Digital DJ Tips’ YouTube channel showing how Traktor has dropped significantly in the DJ software rankings. Sad to see, as I’ve always loved Traktor, but I don’t feel comfortable investing in a platform that’s clearly not being supported the way it used to be. It's too risky when you depend on the gear to earn a living.
