Kontrol S2 mk3

Hello, I purchased a Kontrol S2 Mk3 from Thomann and I have a MacBookPro retina late 2013 with macOS Big Sur operating system and I currently use Traktor 2.
I am asking since the Kontrol S2 MK3 does not turn on if I should also buy a power supply and if I should change the version of Traktor or something else. I can't even install Native Access.

Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3 was released with Traktor Pro 3. Therefore I expect it is not compatible with Traktor Pro 2. If you purchased it just recently it most likely already has a license for Traktor Pro 4 - which needs at least macOS 12 Monterey. Your MacBook only supports macOS up to macOS 11 Big Sur unfortunately. You need Traktor Pro 3 for your computer to run with this controller or need to upgrade to macOS 12. This is possible with Open Core Legacy Patcher but this has its own limitations.

Usually S2 Mk3 doesn't need a power supply as it runs bus powered over USB. It should light up briefly after connecting it to your Mac with USB. As long as Traktor Pro isn't running some Traktor controllers are going back to dark after that. As I don't a S2 Mk3 myself I am not sure if this is the case with S2 Mk3.
