Traktor Pro 4 stem; slow, doesn't complete

Really excited about Traktor Pro 4 stem separation. Though when I start to stem a song, it's slow, most times, doesn't complete (only 1 song out of 6 have separated). My Mac is 10 years old yet has a latest operating system (Monterey 12.7.6). Anybody else experience this? Suggestions? Knowing a new computer might handle this better

How much RAM do you have in your computer? In the past some users reported problems when trying to separate with only 4 og 8gb of ram.

My suggestion: After 10 years you should get a newer computer if you want to use stem separation. Even the smallest current Mac mini or MacBook Air (even the previous models with Apples own chips) will beat your 10 year old book by far. Even if your machine is a maxed out model. At least in benchmarks even M1 models (slowest Apple Silicon Macs) are quicker as almost all Intel models. As far as I remember only some very high spec configurations of the last Intel Mac Pro and Intel iMac 27“ were able to beat M1 in benchmarks.

Stem separation is a demanding CPU heavy task in Traktor. Even on my MBP M3 Max or Studio M1 Ultra it takes around a minute per track. Never tried on older Macs but on a 10 year old book it sure takes much longer - I would expect longer as the track itself.
