Why am i getting missing samples after stem seperation in maschine3?

Hello, i recently purchased maschine 3 and im running it on my laptop with windows 10 OS.

When i use stem seperation on a sample and the new group is created for the 4 stems, i find the exclamation mark '!' with missing samples. The stems have not appeared in the samples folder of my user content and upon searching my file system i get no returns on the generated samples.

If i were to say truncate the original sample then the new file does appear in the user content folder as expected.

I'm at a loss as to whats happening. This is one of many issues i've had since i purchased the software. I'm hoping someone can suggest something to fix the issue for me. Thanks so much in advance! A :)

Despite your description of using "a sample" being vague, I will attempt to guess that you have tried to extract stems from a MONO sample, because Maschine 3 can only perform stem extraction on stereo files.

Unfortunately there is no warning in the software. It just doesn't work.

Thanks for your swift response and please forgive the vagueness, it certainly was a mono sample so i'll check with a stereo file now to see if you're indeed correct. Thanks again

Not entirely your fault. It would be much better if there was a clear statement about the limitation and a check in the software, with a popup message if the user selects a mono sample.

….or an update that allows mono samples to be used.

Agreed, it seems strange that it appears to be doing the seperating process.. and then coughs out 'can't locate files'… Very much tricked me into assuming mono was fine.
