Does the A49 series have a 'button 5'?

Reading the manual, page 7 lists 'enable or disable speech' with SHIFT + Button 5. Does the A49 have such?

Are there things covered in the manual that the A49 does not have? (Just so I know I'm reading things that may not apply).

To use the manual then you need to go through the manual to check what is what and then you can compare. In this case then to properly use the manual then you need to check section Keyboard Overview.

As far as I can see then what you are referring to is the section :

"Enable or disable speech output for names of Preset files" : "SHIFT + Button 5"

and if you go through the manual then in section Keyboard Overview it shows a picture that suggests that they are referring to : "Shift + Quantize" , which as far as I can see is also present on the A49.

I have never used any of this and I am unable to assist more deeply with this other than what help I am offering here :

I wouldn't know , maybe if you told us exactly what manual that you are referring to then someone might have a chance of at least guessing (exact manual name and version number or even better : give a link to the manual) .

"You still did not give an exact description of use case 😉 Anyway , maybe you will figure it out 🙂"

Sorry, you didn't ask. That was in the other thread. I know, its late.

Exact usage: standalone: press two buttons at same time. See what happens.

No , sorry that was me getting confused , and you are right that it was late and I were getting confused, but that was not the only reason with respect to the "exact description of use case" remark here, the reason for me getting confused was that you opened I think four or five questions at the same time and I were answering to most or all of them. And in the above then the main problem for me was the number of threads that you had opened since when trying to keep up then I simply just answered your question "Does the A49 series have a 'button 5'?" without digging deeper into the root of the question which in this case were your trying to use "the accessibility features" , which I had never used ever. Also your question was more about you reading parts of the manual out of context of the rest of the manual , which I sort of understood when writing "you need to go through the manual" but I had not understood that the "Enable or disable speech output for names of Preset files" were also out of context , in this case the use of "the accessibility features" in general.

Thanks. Yes I asked because when I tried that combination with quantize it produced a negative result. I'll keep trying. And yes using manual

    Software version: 2.7.0 (03/2022)

That's the only manual specificagtion I can find under disclaimer.

Except if it is the manual for the keyboard or for the Komplete Kontrol app alone .

Anyway doing a lookup then what you write comes up as if it were possibly : KOMPLETE_KONTROL_A-Series_Manual_English_04_2022.pdf , and if you are referring to that then most likely then what you read covers the keyboard that you have , except what changes which could have been made to the Komplete kontrol app itself , and sorry but I have absolutely no way of knowing that as far as comparing to manual content. You would have to ask support , or ask N.I. forum customer care. (Jeremy_NI)

I just looked up the manual here, and it says Shift+Ideas:

    2.6.2. Activating Accessibility Features

In order to activate or deactivate the accessibility features from the KOMPLETE KONTROL keyboard while the KOMPLETE KONTROL software is running:

    1. Press and hold the SHIFT button on the top left of the keyboard.

    2. While holding SHIFT, press the IDEAS button, located third to the right, in the second row on the keyboard.

The speech output confirms that the accessibility features have been activated or deactivated.

Sounds to me as if you found out what the problem is. Silly me , never having used the feature then I had no idea that it needed activating there. I only concentrated on answering the button question itself 🤣
