Why doesn't Batch resave save as .nbkt files?

in Battery 4

After running the batch resave (from most recent version of battery) it seemed to have converted my .kt2 files but left the .kt3 files alone?

Is that on purpose because I don't understand why?

It seems as though everything now shows up in the browser properly except the .kt3 files.

    I was also surprised to see little documentation mentioned in the manual regarding the batch resave (formats involved), and the link on page 17 of the Battery 4 manual was broken (both in PDF and online).
