Dragging midi into Logic, chord sounds don't play on different notes

Hi all

I've created a pattern in Maschine, I have a chord sample which I've placed on different notes in the Maschine piano roll using the keyboard function with my Mikro. When I drag the midi into Logic and playback, the chords all sound on the same note, any ideas?

hey Jeremy , logic has changed , it’s now possible to record midi straight from a maschine pattern into a logic track , you can also use the controller in maschine mode ,so arp etc all works , midi mode is no longer required.

It’s all to do with the new internal midi feature in logic , the only problem atm , which stops it being perfect , is using a multi timbral plugin with more than one part(track) which you’d want if you want to use more than one group in the plugin , which would mean you could use drums and pitch instruments, without using two maschine plugin instances.

Tbh if we could use two groups max , it would be useful, you could use one group for drums , and another group for upto 15 pitched instruments on the other 15 midi channels. But maybe we could get it working using up to 16 groups .

When you add a multi timbral version with more than one part (track) , logic adds an internal midi port for each part to the internal midi port selection , i guess these are for routing logic midi tracks to maschine 16 midi ports , the problem is , if you add more than one part(track) , the maschine virtual port disappears , you can get it to reappear if you open maschine standalone, but as soon as you close it it disappears again , even with standalone open and the port visible, the groups don’t seem to respond to separate midi channels from logics internal midi tracks .

Maybe you could get someone to look into it .

Here’s a thread I started about it , it super cool , finally logic can work with maschine like other daws , and it should solve a lot of support issues people have , I might do a video on how to set it up , when I get time, or you could do an official one when you get round to it.

You need to check the MIDI notes per sound by clicking here on the little keyboard icon, then go to the desired sound, then drag & drop:

    Hi Jeremy

I've dragged the midi out as a group, this is my workflow with all the midi shown on one track for reference, all the sounds are still routed to individual tracks, but when I do and playback, the bass just plays a single note, what am I doing wrong?

@ALDREAD Thanks a lot! I wasn't aware of that, I mean I knew it was a long long awaited feature request. I'm also still on Ventura and can't enjoy the latest version of Logic. Time to update that OS!

I've added your posrt to the Maschine Tips & Tricks!
