Hi guys, I was thinking of connecting the Maschine + to the PC without a USB cable using a MIDI-over-USB interface such as (CME WIDI Uhost.) Do you think it would work?

Probably, but at that point…why not just use Ableton Link? Do you need to send anything except a clock?

Link is a protocol, you don't need to "use Ableton" or install it to use Link.

If you're asking if you can use M+ in controller mode using wireless midi to connect to your computer: No.

If you're asking if you can use M+ as a midi controller (as opposed to a maschine controller) to connect to your computer: probably. Those little bluetooth midi adapters don't seem to need much setup. I have one connected to a sp404 because I didn't want to run a midi or USB cable across my room. I simply wanted to send midi clock, but it does let me use the pads on the sp404 as a midi controller if I want.

The USB connection for maschine hardware to act as a controller for the maschine software isn't just sending midi back and fourth. That integration needs the usb connection

Try Ableton Link because Bitwig and M+ were so fun and I was using Android App for the ruling main clock.

From BPM 0,1 to 999 transition was smooth and fast following my moves and it can communicate with every DAW today so at least try it because maybe you will like it.

Maschine is special and it's better for everyone to realize what they like.

M+ can be Master , Slave and can control multiple devices and I was contoling Arranger 4 Tracks and Android App with addition of small module for the sound i was thinking I need it…

Just contoling multiparameters morphing from A to B via Lock States and there's 64 Lock States. It's crazy for one track and it's something much bigger with prepared Tracks ( group) and now you have empty Lock States and 64 new possiblities from Long fades to fast morphing using the touch strip.

Please feel free to ask me anything.

heres a method i used in order to connect wirelessly… it is just different controllers, but principle is the same.

and this method uses the mobile phone network… so you dont necessarily need to be beside your PC…

i did this as a test

the main issues with this type of setup is the latency, and the connection remaining stable

all done across the mobile network

I was playing with Bitwig and Traktor and I had a fun, it's working and it's stable for more than 10 hours but it must be in my opinion need to make sense to do it.

I tried and it was great having it in Sync but I can play " Back Tracks " from the M+ and I can improvise and most important thing to set Tempo to suit to majority, to optimize.
