key adjust

is there a way to move from a major key to a minor one and viceversa? Shifting keys seems to work in semitones (or cents) but can't figure out how to switch for example from 1d to 1m.

Multiple semi-tones. Check one of the mixed-in-key wheels. It's mainly +2/-2, +5/-5, +7/-7. If multiple steps at the same time doesn't work, you can try the stepless key adjust assignment.

In your specific example, it would be the maximum change, either +12/-12 or +100/-100 with the stepless assignment.

Hmm, are you saying that by adding 12 semitones to C major I get A minor… are you sure?

I think i am wrong in that regard (some faulty wiring in my head for a short circuit). Let me look at my map (if i can find it). A keyboard is probably the best thing to look at.

Hm, so i am not sure yet about the degree of parameter change corresponding to the key change. I will need to do some more research. I haven't been thinking about these things for a while.

I just found this discussion (DJ Endo i think) in my archives, found (DJ Tech Tools?) and copied in 2015.

Along with these graphics, although i am not sure how helpful this will be.
