How to make Traktor Kontrol S4 mk1 work in 2025?

Hi,

I used to DJ in my teens, now in my 30s and looking to pick back up a hobby I used to enjoy. I still have a Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1 (over 10 years old). I am planning to upgrade, likely to some Pioneer gear but whilst I wait to see what this mysterious AZ actually is, I'm keen to dust off the Traktor.

What's the best way to make it work nowadays? I can think of:

1/ Download Traktor 2 in mi macbook

2/ Pay Traktor 4. But, will my controller be recognized by the software? I afraid I pay +€120 and the controller wont properly work.

Looks like it works up to OS X 10.11.

It will not work on modern mac os. Should work fine on windows with traktor 4. I'm not sure what version of mac os it still works with, someone will probably comment.
