Avid Link install of ProTools Intro+ doesn't successfully install and launch software . . .

I believe in my initial effort to download Pro Tools Intro + for Focusrite, my Native Instrument app was subsequently opened and is likely disrupting a successful installation of Avid's Pro Tools software.

How should I address and subsequently fix the following error message (in hopes of resolving my download issue)?!?:

"NI-NTKD DeviceNotificationWindow This app is preventing you from signing out".
