Can the Maschine Central expansion be used in Maschine+ standalone mode? I have Maschine+, along with a Komplete Control keyboard etc. I've just upgraded from Maschine 2 to Maschine 3 software, including the Maschine Central expansion. I can see the expansion in the new Maschine 3 software and everything is fine (sounds great too). However, what I really wanted was to also have the Maschine Central expansion on my Maschine+ in satandalone mode. I'm away in hotels quite a lot and this is why I bought the Machine+, so I could mess around with it when I'm away from my PC. NI don't explain in the marketing blurb whether or not you can use this expansion in standalone mode and to be honest I do find some of the marketing quite confusing. When I put the M+ in standalone mode and go into the library, Maschine Central isn't showing. Am I doing anything wrong or is it just not possible?

    Yes the Maschine Central library can be installed on the Plus standalone.

    In theory it should show under 'available' for you to download (assuming wifi is enabled, you're logged in etc).

    Yes I thought so. I've just realised that the M+ screen says I only have 2.8GB available, so this is possibly why it won't show the new expansion. So, here's another stupid question: If I buy a larger capacity SD card, do I save the contents of the existing SD card to the PC, then drag them onto the new card? Then after that, Machine Central should show as available and I can load it directly to Machine+? I really appreciate your help as I've lost touch with a lot of these things that younger guys will find simple!

    Ah, then indeed you'll need more space.

    The install file is over 3GB and the content once installed is almost 8GB. I've got a SanDisk Ultra 512GB in mine - a Micro card via an adapter. People do suggest not to use adapters but I've not had an issue, and the Micro cards are cheaper per GB.

    You don't have to copy the content, but it'll save you time if you do. Starting from a blank card you'll just have to download and install it all again.
