Komplete Kontrol 3.4 startup freeze bug

Komplete Kontrol worked finde here in version 3.21.
After updating to Komplete Kontrol 3.40, I can no longer start it at all: it always hangs during the startup scan, with the same plugins and plugin folder structure that was scanned without problems before.
NI's hilarious support page advice to remove every file showing up in the startup freeze one by one must be a crackpot level joke, wasting lots of time solveing a problem they created in the first place, when they simply messed up with a newer version of the app, while the previous one worked fine.
So I request to solve the issue by a timely(!) update.
For the time being I have no other choice than to remove Komplete Kontrol and all its folder content completely, and reinstall version 3.21. Not great!
By the way, my actual effort to create a support ticket was a nightmare experience with a stupid support bot, which at no point confirmed that a support ticket was created, offering incredibly stupid "solutions" before even pretending to connect to real support.
I found this to be on a subterranean level of bad quality support, and will heavily rethink my NI customer relation, hesitating to buy anything from a company with that dysfunctional level of connecting to support.

Win 11 latest PC system here.
It scans for a while and then hangs - with the same plugins, which were scanned without problems by a version before. Of course NI is tempted to try to blame the plugins in their online help, but as it is crystal clear that they alone messed up what was fine before, this would be nothing more than a futile effort of responsibility shifting, not accepted by their paying customers.

Yeah seems like a few users are having issues with this release, all the same problem, scan on startup is not completing.
My money is not on faulty plugins, it will be an issue in the scanapp or the latest release, seems each release breaks more than it fixes.
Just another reminder NI, Banks are still an issue (after 14 months still…………….).

Loads faster then previous version.. problem i am having when I check the libraries in settings it's keeps scanning circles.. I left my PC on for a few days and it's still scanning.. when i check the task manager processing size of 5gb..

Same issue here, freezing on initializing GUI. Have tried all the reg edit suggestions and reinstallation etc to no avail.
@jimknopf01 - please could you share the 3.21 install location? Im having trouble finding it :(

Native Instruments sadly doesn't offer any downgrades, as far as I see.

I guess this is just another good example for managers being too stupid to understand what good engineering means. They outsource everything to keep prices low for the masses, but on the long-term this strategy leads to exactly such bad user experiences. But hey, we can blame people and engineers in "High-Cost" for being too intelligent for the masses!

NI updates and NI support both seem to have become heavily lacking lately, since the new owners obviously no longer see any priority in customer relations and customer support. I doubt that this strategy will work well for the company.

Same issue here. Tried the common steps such as - https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/5217260793617-Komplete-Kontrol-Crashes
But no such luck. Tried a fresh install and also same issue so it seems something got broke with 3.4.
Anyone have any luck?

It's working flawlessly for me (on Macos Sequoia) but I get the impression a lot if not all the problems with startup freezing have been on Windows so far

Yeah, Windows user here. Is there any way to downgrade to previous working version?
Wouldn't mind but this issue has made my M32 keyboard useless🙄

One week later and I have ZERO reaction from support - not even a confirmation that a support ticket has been created.
So according to my experience
a) NI support seems pretty much non-existent at this point
b) the development team seems so be so dramatically cut down by the new owners, that it can no longer fix massive bugs making their software completely unuseable, in any reasonable time frame. In NI Access there still is no update available for the present broken version of Komplete Kontrol.
This company no longer works as it should and as it once did. So I see no choice but migrating to alternatives for NI and iZotope products as soon and as much as I can, and in the future refrain from being a regular buyer, since many disappointments about NI and iZotope have summed up significantly lately.
This company has become an unreliable mess, asking for monery without proper development team and without proper customer support IMO.

Same issue here on Win 11 in both DAW and Standalone; not sure why I still bother with KK.
