Low velocity (max 100) with all master keyboards

Hi,
I have a problem that affects all master keyboards. When I press hard, the maximum I reach is 100.
Whether I use my Komplete Control M32 or my electric piano (Olya Pro 2) it's the same.
Whether with Cubase Pro or Cantabile, it's the same. When I use Claire's keyboard or Cubase's keyboard, the velocity goes up to 127.
I think this phenomenon is related to the response keys. Indeed, if I set the velocity (Shift + Octave -) on my Komplete Control M32, the velocity is correct but without nuance. This is not what I want with Claire.

Where does this problem come from? I was thinking of using an effect plugin to boost the velocity... I don't know.

Thanks

I have news! On Ableton, you can increase the velocity with the MIDI Velocity effect:
    https://www.optoproductions.com/wiki/ableton/midi/velocity/#:~:text=The%20Drive%20control%20is%20the,range%20result%20in%20softer%20velocities.

So this partly solves the problem by putting the "Drive" to the maximum.
Well, I don't really use Ableton (I got the 12 Lite version as a gift for the purchase of my Arturia KeyLab 61). I bought Cubase Pro 13 so I'm going to look for a way to do the same thing.

On Cubase the safest way is to do it per-track using the Midi Modifiers MIDI effect and set the velocity compression to 127%.

That means your level of 100 will be changed to 127. The notes on your MIDI recording will still be 0-100, but they get transformed to 0-127 when they hit the instrument.

You can also use the global input transformer but that affects every MIDI device. That's OK if you're only using a couple of keyboards, but throw in a MIDI device that sends full range notes (drum pad, Maschine etc) and you have a problem.

have you looked at the raw MIDI using something like MIDI-ox? That’ll show if the problem is related to hardware not giving the full range. If that’s the case you need to adjust the hardware settings to get the full 0-127 range.

    Thanks.

I have MIDI-OX but I don't know what you mean by the raw MIDI.
As I wrote, no matter the master keyboard, I can't go above 100.
How to adjust the M32 parameters?

    Thank you so much!

It works perfectly even when recording. Yes I created a template file and I will apply this to all the tracks I need.

    Thanks again!
