Power cable (with connection protection) for Kontrol MK3 keyboards [feature request]

I own a Komplete Kontrol S88 MK3 and it only came with one USB-C cable for data.
Currently many users have to use USB-hubs (many are low power) which means they need that power cable we thought we were getting with our keyboards.
Why I am asking is because the data cable has a connector protection design which protects the USB-C port from breaking if the cable is yanked in different directions. I rather have the same cable type for power too, it is after all an expensive keyboard, and tbh the cable should have been included.
If there is a cable available, please make this cable available.

The power cable socket doesn't have the same surround as the data cable does it? I thought only the data cable had the special connector.

Just curious: What made you think that the second cable was included?
I never thought it was included, when I bought mine, since the web page seems to mention only one USB-C cable and the user manual specifically mentions that when using separate USB-C power, that power supply and cable are not included.

Just curious: Why do you feel the urge to question my specific expectations on NI products?
Good for you if you did not need it at the moment. This thread is for those customers who ask for it and think it should have been included. Please move on.

It is not the same size agree (See image) but a specific USB-C power cable would be nice to ensure a yanked cable won't damaged the connection over time (hence an official cable should have been included). Maybe NI have tested for this with regular cables and just thought it wasn't an issue, or just did not care.
The risk is over 7-10 years when you move your keyboard around from desk to the side of the desk (especially the big, heavier and expensive S88). The bigger USB-B cable felt way sturdier on the S88 MK2 (which came with a DC power cord)
Would be nice to here a response for NI how safe it is for regular USB-cables when they at the same time were so protective of the data connection.

Your discussion is not 'gated' and nico5 were in no way rude so maybe you could just ignore those that you do not agree with as long as they are civil ?

I fully understand your query and your need for the query but in my opinion then your are asking for a public dialog about something that N.I. would be ill advised participating in in as much as that any statement from N.I. surely could easily be turned against N.I. if/by people that breaks anything. I m not saying that there are no chance of a response I am more suggesting that any actual official response most likely would have to be in very corporate style that will not expose N.I. or put N.I. in a bad position.
In the above then I am not suggesting either that N.I. has actually done anything wrong here or that N.I. has even been lacking in anything. I am merely trying to tell how I think that things works realistically or how I think that things have to work.

Personally I hate the USB-C and micro/mini USB for pro audio gear, I'd much rather see the older huge square connectors. I can see the logic for going to usb-c, but they're definitely not as secure. I guess the logic is that everyone has a usb-c charger lying around, but the opening in the back of the MK3 could have been made the same for both the data and power connectors could have been the same. That way either a normal or strain-relief connector could have been used in both.

Given the wide discrepancies out there in the way computers supply power through USB ports, I opted to just use a simple phone charging cable plugged into a dedicated Furman power supply to ensure I don't have any problems in my studio with external gear like my keyboard or powered studio speakers. It's worked perfectly for over a year every time I turn it on so it's one less thing I have to worry about when I sit down to work on something.

Agree, weird situation where I do like the universal nature of USB-C but with bulky heavy hardware it require connector safety measures like a new port that preferably work with basic USB-C and have extra safety if you have a standardized safety cable (crazy we havent seen this yet). I have the same issue with the heftier Ableton Push 3 Standalone. It has no safety features around the connector.
Yes, both connector port should have had the same design and preferably two cables included - especially for a keyboard in the 1500 Euros range.

I currently use a shorter third party cable and an Apple 20W USB-C for now but are looking for a longer cable and more permanent solution.
