How to use Pattern player in S4 remix deck

I'm new to this forum and I have a question. Anyone know how to use the pattern player in the remix deck of the S4 MK3. I read the manual and follow the instructions but cant get it to work. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm using a Mac computer alog with traktor pro 4

You need to have samples loaded in the remix deck cells. They need to be ONE SHOT and the trigger type needs to be LATCHED. Press the REC button. Now trigger the cells to the beat using the performance pads. When you are done, press REC again to exit the pattern mode. To delete a slot pattern, while REC is on press SHIFT+PAD.

It's all stated in the MANUAL on page 75.

It's always one of those details that give trouble. Nice it's working now! 🙃

Note: You may wonder why QUANTIZE will have no effect anymore once you have hit REC, even if you deactive it again. That's because the Native mapping does not deactivate the pattern PLAY, it only starts it (together with the recording feature) and QUANTIZE is not compatible with this.

To solve this and use QUANTIZE again, you need to map PATTERN PLAY (OFF) to a button.

I also made some mods for use with this you could try.

Thanks again for yor help. I will have to do some research to map that PATTERN PLAY button to "off". I haven't done much mapping in traktor.

Actually I would be happy to try some of the mods you have made.
