Traktor dj 2 support
Hi, do we know if Traktor DJ 2 is now pretty much unsupported and won’t have anymore updates. Or do NI intend to keep supporting and developing?

Can you ask the right person? I’m curious too…

It was once said to be the evolution of Traktor Pro 4 but I think those plans went out the door 🚪. Now my guess it's been abandoned for a new Traktor Pro 4 plan. That's just my guess, I could be wrong, well I hope I am wrong because I like the UI better than the current Traktor Pro 3. With what native instruments had originally said that they'd do to make Traktor Pro 4.I would have loved to see it done. Plus it was an universal app with only android not supported. I would love for an android and iPhone version to be like the iPhone and android version of rekordbox dj. We all have our dream this is one of mine. Let's see what the new Traktor Pro 3 beta brings

Yes it will be interesting to see how they develop. With Izotope being a partner having Traktor on Mac, IOS, Windows and Android will be so good. Let’s see what happens. To go for a mass market you have to appeal to the masses. Traktor will always I think be aimed at electronic music djs, so come on NI expand your product and make it the best.

So… is it dead? Should I stop hoping to ditch the laptop for the iPad and a next gen Z1?

Just get Djay Pro…

Can't really say... The team is focusing on Traktor Pro 3 atm.

@Friedemann_NI can you answer the OP question, please?

I believe this actually answers the OPs question.

Thanks for your opinion… I prefer @Friedemann_NI one in this question.

OK well it's been 2 years without a software update and you still can't say if the product has a future? I think we can assume that Traktor DJ 2 is abandonware and it's time for your customers to move on to another vendor. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It's an answer, but it doesn't answer the question.
I find it hard to believe that NI is yet to decide the fate of one app because another is being worked on.
Yet another subscription. Also not confident about the future of the Mixtour controller; I question its build quality given the specs, it's not readily available in my country anymore, and still ships with lightning cable 🤷♂️
But I caved and bought a 1yr sub for $45 Aus. Will see how it goes. Given NI's track record with Guitar Rig, and their typical non-answers, I'm not gonna wait around.

Subscription seems inevitable at this point. Only mixxx falls outside the trend.
Also DjPlayer has subscription but it’s 20€/5years but at this moment Djay Pro proposal seems the most balanced in price/features IMO.

Future humans gonna need to subscribe to take a dump.

It seems so. :/

@Friedemann_NI we still are waiting for an answer…
