Hello, I can't use the komplete kontrol mk2 plugged into a power source and via 5-pin MIDI to have it as a master keyboard and be able to choose the midi channel, can this be done?

    Hello,

this should work via midi templates on the mk2 with the key zones, you create 16 templates with midi channels set on each (one key zone per template or as you need it; manual 10.7) from 1 to 16. You now only have to be sure that the midi routing is correct, but that depends on your daw. Lets say you send the mk2 midi to 16 instrument channels, each listens to it´s own midi ch, so you now select the instrument you pay by selecting the midi template on the mk2. Same can be done with kontakt stand alone for example and of course with kontakt in a daw. It depends on what exactly you want to do.

I think I understand you, you need a computer to create the midi templates with komplete kontrol stad alone. Then after you've created those midi templates you can use the keyboard stand alone as you want to use it.

Hey @Rafamate @Uwe303 Yes there is a limitation on Komplete Kontrol keyboards, MK2 and MK3, you can't use the USB MIDI and 5 Pin MIDI cable at the same time but there is a workaround: Sending USB and 5-Pin MIDI Simultaneously from Komplete Kontrol S-Series Keyboards

Yeah - like I said above then you unfortunately can only use it with a computer and that program mentioned above or a DAW to route midi out of the 5 pin midi din connector - then with the computer connected it will work like you want it to - so this keyboard can not have midi presets without a computer connected, I just assumed it can, I don't own it and other midi keyboards I know can do it, sorry my fault

Hello, when I remove the USB

it stays at default and the configuration disappears.

Ohh then you can only use it with USB to PC and use the bridge (USB to 5 pin din midi) as stated above by Jeremy.
